CPT increases the number of clutch plates in the direct-high-clutch drum from five to eight, an improvement of 60 percent over stock. This again increases the holding capability and strength of the transmission at higher power levels.

This is the boost valve, which is increased in size to raise line pressure along with a taller spring. CPT also increases the diameter of the stock throttle valve (VT) in the valve body to handle the increased load on the transmission

Transmission Warranty

CP transmissions are fully warranted for (90) days and are warranted against defective workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
After the (90) day period, (for a period of threee years), California Performance Transmission Company in Huntington Beach CA will Completely rebuild and or overhaul under the warranty the transmission for $450.00 plus hard parts, or any subsequent owner for $550.00 plus hard parts. The prices include a new factory warranty. In the event that the transmission is sold, the warranty should be transferred to the new owner.

Torque Converter warranty

CPT torque converters are fully warranted for (90) days and are guaranteed against defective workmanship for a period of one year from the date of Purchase. After the (90) day period, (for a period of three years), California Performance Transmission Company will completely repair or replace at its option at a cost in relationship to the original cost of the torque converter. Standard repair will be $250.00.

Not Covered by the Warranty

Our high performance products are designed for severe duty, but due to racing’s nature, are not covered or returnable.
Due to the inconsistencies of other manufactures torque converters we cannot warranty transmissions installed without our torque converter.
Failure due to improper installation or modifications.
Damage caused by faulty linkage, faulty electronics, driveline failure, etc.
Damage to related and unrelated components.
Improper application.
Parts damaged as a result of improper cooling, low fluid level, misuse or abuse.
Damage caused by not flushing the cooling system properly.
Cost of vehicle downtime, and or towing.
Removal and/or replacement labor cost.
Shipping cost or freight damage.
Loss or injury arising indirectly from installation or use of CPT products.
Normal wear and tear.

Implied Warranty

Warranties implied by law are limited to the duration of the warranty except in those states where prohibited by law.

If the product proves to be defective under conditions stated above, return the product, along with a copy of the sales slip, to place of purchase. All merchandise must be returned to California Performance Transmission Company.
